Everything people ask us most often. If your question isn't here, email hello@buddybuddy.co and a person will answer.
Shipping & delivery
Where do you ship from?
Everything ships from Brussels. Orders within the EU carry no customs charges or import duties.
How long will my order take?
Orders are dispatched on business days. Belgium typically arrives in 1–2 business days, neighbouring countries in 2–4, and the rest of Europe in 3–6.
How much is shipping?
Calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
I'm in the US or Canada.
Order from us.buddybuddy.co instead — it ships from our New York warehouse in dollars, with free shipping over $60 and no transatlantic wait.
Our nut butters
Why has the oil separated in my jar?
Because there's nothing in it to stop it. Our nut butters are stone-ground nuts and nothing else — no palm oil, no emulsifiers, no stabilisers. Natural oil separation is a sign the jar is what it says it is. Stir it back in with a butter knife and it stays mixed.
How should I store them?
A cupboard is fine — no refrigeration needed. Keep the lid on and store at room temperature, away from direct sun. In the fridge they firm up considerably, which some people prefer for spreading.
How long do they keep?
Each jar carries a best-before date on the label, typically several months out. Once opened, finish within about three months for the best flavour.
What's actually in them?
Nuts, and occasionally dates, cacao, spices or a pinch of fleur de sel. Every ingredient is listed on the jar. Everything is organic and made in small batches in our Brussels atelier.
Do you use palm oil or added sugar?
No to both, in any product.
Allergens
Are your products safe for someone with a nut allergy?
No. We are a nut butter company — everything we make is produced in a facility that handles peanuts and tree nuts, and cross-contact is unavoidable. If you have a severe nut allergy, our products are not for you, and we'd rather say that plainly.
Are they vegan? Gluten-free?
All our nut butters are vegan. None contain gluten ingredients, though they're made in a facility that isn't certified gluten-free.
Coffee
What is nut butter coffee?
Specialty coffee blended with real nut butter — not nut milk, not flavoured syrup. We invented the category in Brussels in 2020 and serve it in Brussels, Paris and New York.
Why does your coffee selection change?
Our coffees are seasonal. We buy small lots and keep each one for three to six months; when a lot is finished, a new origin takes its place.
Do you grind the beans?
We ship whole bean so it stays fresh. If you need it ground, email us before your order goes out and we'll do our best.
Orders & returns
Can I return an order?
Under EU consumer law you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Email hello@buddybuddy.co and we'll walk you through it. For food-safety reasons we can't resell opened jars, so unopened items only.
Something arrived damaged or wrong.
Email hello@buddybuddy.co with your order number and a photo, and we'll put it right.
Can I change or cancel an order?
If it hasn't shipped, yes — email us as quickly as you can and we'll try to catch it.
